Itinerary

  • Welcome by the tour guide upon your arrival at the airport, and transfer by private car to the hotel

    In the afternoon, try cyclo for 1 hour to discover:

    • From the colonial district with its charming architecture, to the avenues lined with greenery
    • Hoan Kiem Lake and its legend and Ngoc Son
    • From the maze of streets teeming with small shops in the heart of the famous and fascinating “old quarter of the 36 corporations” and its famous silk street (Hang Gai)

    Depending on your wish, the evening entertainment will be scheduled either on the 1st day of your arrival or on a following day to be chosen with your guide, depending on the timing of the days in Hanoi

  • Hanoi – Mong Phu Village – NGHIA LO – Homestay

    Early departure to reach Nghia Lo, 4 hours away, in the Mu Cang Chai region, along one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam, which runs alongside the Red River.

    • Discover the village of Mong Phu, an authentic small village immersed in a peaceful atmosphere.
    • Enjoy a leisurely bike ride through tranquil lanes, where you'll meet friendly locals and learn about their daily lives.
    • Discover a 370 – year – old house built with traditional materials like bamboo, laterite, oak, terracotta bricks, and tiles. 
    • Continue to Nghia Lo, a peaceful town nestled in a wide valley between the Red River and the Black River, embraced by majestic mountains draped in terraced rice fields. 
    • Visit their charming stilt houses and enjoy warm, genuine encounters with the community, gaining a glimpse into their customs, attire, and ancestral heritage.
    • End the day with a stroll through the lively Nghia Lo market,

  • Mu Cang Chai - Than Uyen - Sapa: 185 km - 5h

    • After having breakfast, we will depart from Mu Cang Chai to Than Uyen, through many beautiful landscapes
    • Stop at the O Quy Ho Pass, known as the longest pass in Vietnam, for some delightful photo opportunities
    • Visit the village inhabited by Thai, who are famous for their traditional stilt house surrounded by rice terraces stretching along the picturesque valleys
    • Trek to the village of Lu minority where you may encounter the villagers while they are weaving their cloth
    • Very pretty scenery on this road which goes up towards Sapa

    • Y Linh Ho village, in the Muong Hoa valley, is the starting point for the hikes
    • Hike 6 kilometers through the terraced rice fields to the village of Lao Chai
    • This small village is inhabited by the Black Hmong ethnic minority. Along the way, meet women from the village dressed in ethnic costumes. You will be touched by their kindness in walking a part of the way with you
    • After lunch, take a short 2-kilometer walk to the village of Ta Van, inhabited by the Giay ethnic group
    • The people of Ta Van specialize in stone and wood carving. The women work with hemp, weave on looms, and prepare indigo blue dyes after harvesting the plant

  • Sapa – Ma Tra – Ta Phin – BAC HA – Homestay

    • Trekking through the breathtaking mountain landscapes where terraced rice fields cascade along the hillsides. Sapa, a former French hill station founded in the early 20th century, is home to more than 30 ethnic minority groups and boasts the highest peak in Vietnam – Mount Fansipan, standing tall at 3,143 meters above sea level.
    • Visit Ma Tra Village, inhabited by the Black H’Mong, and continue to Ta Phin Village, where the Red Dao people maintain their rich cultural heritage.
    • Transfer to Bac Ha, home of the Flower Hmong, for your overnight stay.

  • Bac Ha Local Market (only Sunday) – Ban Pho Lao Cai NIGHT TRAIN – Hanoi

    Every Sunday, the town of Bac Ha comes alive with the most colorful and authentic market in northern Vietnam. 

    Here, you’ll encounter Flower H’Mong, Tay, and Phu La people, all gathering in a dazzling display of colors and culture.

    After the market, continue with a visit to the baroque – style palace of the H’Mong chief, Hoang A Tuong, built in 1920 and beautifully restored.

    In the afternoon, explore Ban Pho Village, home to both colorfully dressed H’Mong and Tay people.

    Around 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM, private transfer to Lao Cai Railway station for the night train to Hanoi.

  • Begin your journey by unravelling the Vietnamese culture and history in the Vietnamese capital:

    • Start the day at the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Ba Dinh Square,
    • The visit includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (viewed from the outside), Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, 
    • Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest Buddhist temple, beautifully located on a small peninsula beside West Lake, and Quan Thanh Temple situated on the Truc Bach Lake shore, 
    • Visit the Temple of Literature,
    • Explore the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, 
    • Grab a Vietnamese coffee while waiting for the train to pass by at the Train Street. 

    In the evening, enjoy a Water Puppet Show – a traditional and ancient art form that is unique to Vietnam.

  • Hanoi – Bai Tu Long Bay UNESCO Label – CRUISE and NIGHT Onboard

    • Arrive at Halong International Cruise Port, welcome aboard, and safety briefing.
    • Check in to your private cabin.
    • Enjoy lunch onboard while taking in the stunning views of Bai Tu Long Bay.
    • Visit Thien Canh Son Cave,
    • Join a kayaking excursion to discover the limestone islands in the bay.
    • Back to junk for refreshing and enjoying your relaxing time on the sundeck.
    • Join a Vietnamese cooking class.

    Dinner: Savor fresh seafood with an exquisite menu of carefully crafted dishes, beautifully presented, and served by qualified staff.

    After dinner, free evening or experience squid fishing before retiring.

    Overnight on board

  • Enjoy the morning view of the beautiful landscape with a cup of coffee or tea. Have breakfast in the fresh air.

    • Visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village by kayak or local rowboat. Discover the cultural life of fishermen and learn how to drive a boat under the instruction of local people, or have a fisherman rowing boat for you.
    • Back to the boat.
    • Check out of the cabin and start cruising towards the harbor while a set lunch is served.
    • The entire crew will greet you and thank you as you arrive at the port at 11h30.
    • Transfer back to Hanoi.

  • Hanoi - Fly - Luang Prabang: 1h

    Enjoy your free time before transferring by private car with a driver to the airport of Hanoi for your flight to Luang Prabang.

    You will be welcomed upon your arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

  • Uncover the ancient religious capital of Laos, and be surprised by its serenity and spirituality by tuk tuk:

    • Experience unforgettable moments by attending the procession of barefoot monks,
    • Explore the National Museum (formally the Royal Palace) which displays a collection of artifacts that once belonged to the royal family.
    • Marvel at the Wat Xieng Thong,
    • Visit the temple of Wat Visoun, built in 1515, and the oldest temple in Luang Prabang,
    • Vat Aham, a major shrine in the city, dedicated to the ancestors of Laos.
    • The temple of Wat Mai, the most richly decorated temple in Luang Prabang, and was the residence of the Buddhist patriarch before 1975.
    • Visit the Ock Pop Tok textile gallery for an explanation and viewing of some Lao Silk products, made with the co – operation of small villages.
    • Board the Nava Mekong, a traditional boat designed for cruising along the Mekong River.
    • Enjoy the stunning landscapes that change color as the sun sets over the Mekong, with the mountains as a backdrop.
    • Dinner is accompanied by a performance of traditional ethnic dances and music.

  • Follow the meandering Mekong River northwards, passing through Oudomxay on your way to Muang La. Along the way, stop to visit Hmong villages.

    Make a detour to Oudomxay’s food market, a meeting point for different ethnic groups in the region.

  • Transfer to Pak Khai, where you begin your walk through primary forests, minority ethnic villages, and across small rivers. Along the way, you'll meet locals engaged in their daily activities.

    These vibrant encounters, set against a postcard – perfect landscape, will make this trek truly unforgettable.

    Return to Muang La in the late afternoon.

    Drive for around 2 hours to Muang Khua, a small town on the banks of the Nam Ou River.

    Board a private longtail boat for a cruise down one of the most scenically beautiful stretches of river in Laos. Compared to the Mekong, the Nam Ou is considered more dramatic and wild and also has far less traffic.

    Reach the final destination of Nong Khiaw in the late afternoon, famed for the dramatic limestone mountains which surround it.

    Disembark and check in to your hotel on the banks of the Nam Ou River.

    Enjoy some free time for the rest of the day… Don't miss the amazing sunset!

  • Nong Khiaw – Pak Ou – CRUISE – Luang Prabang

    Transfer by private car to Pak Ou village.

    1.5 hours downstream to Luang Prabang, disembark to visit two sacred caves of Pak Ou, Tham Ting Cave and Tham Phoum Cave. 

    Observe some elephants bathing in the water close to the banks, or some locals trying their luck and panning for gold.

    Stop to visit an ethnic minority village where traditional Lao rice whiskey is made. You may have the opportunity to taste the local rice whiskey.

    Arrive in Luang Prabang before sunset.

  •  Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall – Ethnic minority villages

    Depart for the beautiful Kuang Si waterfall, approximately 30km from Luang Prabang.

    • Swim in a natural pool nested in the lush tropical vegetation at Khuang Sy waterfall.
    • Visit minority villages such as H’mong village of Ban Thinkeo and Khmu village of Ban Thapaene.
    • Visit the weaving village of Ban Xang Khong,
    • Visit the Ock Pop Tok textile gallery for an explanation and viewing of some Lao Silk products, made with the co–operation of small villages.
    • Enjoy some free time to stroll through the H’Mong night market, where a variety of original, local handicrafts are sold. Trading begins at 5pm.

  • Luang Prabang – FLIGHT – SIEM REAP

    Enjoy your free time before transferring by private car with a driver to the airport of Luang Prabang for your flight to Siem Reap.

    You will be welcomed upon your arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

    NOTE: Direct flight Luang Prabang – Siem Reap is available only on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

  • Siem Reap – Angkor Thom – Ta Prohm – Angkor Watt – Apsara Dinner (By Tuk Tuk)

    Arriving in Angkor Thom by tuk – tuk :

    • Visit the Victory Gate, 
    • Visit the Bayon, 
    • Visit the three – tiered Baphuon 
    • Visit the Royal Enclosure and its small temple, Phimeanakas. 
    • Pass through the Terrace of the Elephants, once a viewing platform for kings
    • See the Terrace of the Leper King with its beautiful carvings of gods, nagas (semi – divine serpents), and dancers.
    • Discover the impressive Ta Prohm temple,
    • Visit the majestic Angkor Wat temple with exquisite bas – reliefs, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 
    • Attend an outstanding Apsara dance show – dinner.

  • Kbal Spean – Banteay Srei – Banteay Samre

    Cross the Kulen mountain range, a sacred site in Cambodia.

    Take a short forest walk to reach Kbal Spean, also known as "The River of a Thousand Lingas", lies deep in the jungle northeast of Angkor and once supplied drinking water to the Angkor site.

    Visit Banteay Srei (Hindu, 10th century), also called "The Citadel of Women", 

    Explore Banteay Samre, a flat Hindu temple from the 12th century dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva,

  • Siem Reap - Rolous Group

    • By bike, explore the local activities and follow the path of the Angkor temples, taking in the surrounding beauty of Siem Reap's landscapes.
    • Afterwards, join a local family to learn the art of Cambodian cuisine.
    • Engage in preparing the meal alongside your hosts and enjoy a delightful lunch in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
    • In the afternoon, visit the fishing village of Chong Kneas by the lake.
    • Appreciate panoramic views of Asia’s biggest lake. Gap at the vast Tonle Sap Lake as you sail across it.
    • Try your hand at fishing using local techniques!
    • End the day with a beautiful sunset at Phnom Krom, the "little hill", one of the most peaceful spots in the area.
