Itinerary

  • Your adventure in Vietnam has started:

    • Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed then privately transferred by a professional driver and an English – speaking guide to your arranged hotel for relaxation.
    • Learn about Vietnamese culture while enjoying good quality Vietnamese coursing and let the excitement begin!

    In the afternoon, enjoy a one – hour cyclo ride to explore:

    • The charming colonial district with its leafy avenues.
    • Hoan Kiem Lake and its legendary story, along with Ngoc Son Temple, nestled in the middle of the lake.
    • The labyrinth of bustling streets filled with small shops in the famous and fascinating "Old Quarter," including the famous Silk Street (Hang Gai)

    To immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Hanoi, take a walking tour to discover:

    • Walking through the iconic Old Quarter. 
    • Colonial architecture,

  • Begin your journey by unravelling the Vietnamese culture and history in the Vietnamese capital:

    • Start the day at the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Ba Dinh Square, 
    • The visit includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (viewed from the outside), Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, 
    • Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda,
    • Visit the Temple of Literature, 
    • Explore the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, 
    • Grab a Vietnamese coffee while waiting for the train to pass by at the Train Street. 

    In the evening, enjoy a Water Puppet Show – a traditional and ancient art form that is unique to Vietnam.

  • Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hanoi - Night Train - Lao Cai: 200 km - 4h

    Leave the bustling streets of Hanoi behind and journey south to Ninh Binh,

    • Board a traditional sampan for a peaceful 2-hour ride along the Ngo Dong River,
    • Glide through the still waters and pass through the mysterious Tam Coc caves, 
    • The specialty of Ninh Binh is goat meat and crispy rice. 
    • Cycle through the countryside to reach Bich Dong Pagoda,
    • Wrap up your journey in Hoa Lu, once the cradle of Vietnamese royalty. Wander through the atmospheric temples of the Dinh and Le Dynasties, surrounded by the echoes of a thousand years of history.
    • Drive back to Hanoi at the end of day.

    Around 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM, private transfer to Hanoi Railway station for the night train to Lao Cai.

  • Lao Cai – Arrival (By train) – SAPAY Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Homestay

    Arrive early in the morning at Lao Cai Train Station where your guide will welcome and transfer you to a hotel to rest and have breakfast before starting a new day of discovery.

    Then, transfer by private vehicle to Sapa (1h drive).

    Private transfer to Sapa for a full day of trekking through spectacular mountain scenery and vibrant local culture.

    Day of trekking in the Sapa region – Encounters with ethnic minorities among rice terraces

    • Set off from Y Linh Ho Village, nestled in the stunning Muong Hoa Valley, a gateway to some of the most picturesque rice terrace landscapes in northern Vietnam.
    • Enjoy a 6 – kilometer trek through terraced rice fields to the village of Lao Chai, home to the Black H’Mong ethnic group
    • Continue with a gentle 2 – kilometer walk to the village of Ta Van, inhabited by the Giay ethnic group

    Overnight at a homestay

  • Bac Ha Local Market (only Sunday) – Ban Pho BAC HA – Homestay

    Every Sunday, the town of Bac Ha comes alive with the most colorful and authentic market in northern Vietnam

    Here, you’ll encounter Flower H’Mong, Tay, and Phu La people, 

    After the market, continue with a visit to the baroque – style palace of the H’Mong chief, Hoang A Tuong, built in 1920 and beautifully restored.

    In the afternoon, explore Ban Pho Village, home to both colorfully dressed H’Mong and Tay people.

    Transfer to Bac Ha, home of the Flower Hmong, for your overnight stay.

  • Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Ham Rong - BUS – Hanoi

    Trekking on a mountain road where terraced rice fields stretch as far as the eye can see. Sapa is an old hill station founded by the French at the beginning of the century.

    Visit Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages, home to the Hmong ethnic group, nestled in the picturesque Muong Hoa Valley

    In the afternoon, take a short excursion by private vehicle to Mount Ham Rong, 

    In the afternoon, your guide will take you to the bus station in Sapa for the 5 – hour journey back to Hanoi.

  • Hanoi – FLIGHT – LUANG PRABANG – City Tour by tuk tuk – Dinner Cruise

    Enjoy your free time before transferring by private car with a driver to the airport of Hanoi for your flight to Luang Prabang.

    You will be welcomed upon your arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

    NOTE: Direct flight Hanoi – Luang Prabang is available only on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday.

    Uncover the ancient religious capital of Laos, and be surprised by its serenity and spirituality by tuk tuk:

    • Vat Aham,
    • The temple of Wat Mai, the most richly decorated temple in Luang Prabang, 
    • Visit the Ock Pop Tok textile gallery for an explanation and viewing of some Lao Silk products, made with the co – operation of small villages.
    • Board the Nava Mekong, a traditional boat designed for cruising along the Mekong River.
    • Enjoy the stunning landscapes that change color as the sun sets over the Mekong, with the mountains as a backdrop.

  • Luang Prabang - Kuang Si waterfall - Ethnic minority villages

     

    Depart for the beautiful Kuang Si waterfall, approximately 30km from Luang Prabang.

    • Through some beautiful natural places and past traditional houses made from bamboo, wood, and palm leaves.
    • Swim in a natural pool nested in the lush tropical vegetation at Khuang Sy waterfall.
    • Visit minority villages such as H’mong village of Ban Thinkeo and Khmu village of Ban Thapaene.
    • Visit the weaving village of Ban Xang Khong, 
    • Visit the Ock Pop Tok textile gallery for an explanation and viewing of some Lao Silk products, made with the co–operation of small villages.
    • Enjoy some free time to stroll through the H’Mong night market,

  • Luang Prabang - Nong Kiaw - Boat - Muang Ngoy

     

    Depart from the charming city of Luang Prabang and head toward Nong Khiaw, a relatively unspoilt region set in karst landscapes and inhabited by ethnic groups living in virtual autarky.

    Stop at the Lao Lu village of Ban Na Ngan, an exceptional village of weavers specialising in cotton fabrics.

    Take a 2 hour boat trip along the Nam Ou River to the tranquil village of Muang Ngoy.

    The journey offers stunning views of small fishing villages along the riverbanks, where locals engage in subsistence farming and fishing.

    Take a 2 – 3 hour walk to explore the picturesque countryside surrounding Muang Ngoy.

  • Muang Ngoy – Luang Prabang – Pak Ou

    Take a 1.5 – 2 hour walk to visit the villages of Ban Na and Ban Houay Boor, where you'll discover exotic local life and meet the locals.

    Return to Nong Khiaw by boat for a 1 – hour cruise, then head back to Luang Prabang.

    Transfer by private car to Pak Ou village, at the confluence of the Nam Ou River, where you will visit the caves with 1,000 Buddha statues, Tham Ting and Tham Phum.

    Stop to visit an ethnic minority village where traditional Lao rice whiskey is made.

    Have the opportunity to taste the local rice whiskey.

    Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.

  • Luang Prabang – DAY TRAIN – VANG VIENG

    Transfer directly to the station for a daytime train ride to Vang Vieng.

    Upon arrival in Vang Vieng, take a boat ride along the Nam Song River to explore the caves of Tham Jang and enjoy the panoramic views and surrounding nature of Vang Vieng.

    Transfer to your hotel.

  • Vang Vieng – CRUISE – Nam Song River

    Depart for the countryside of Vang Vieng, passing through scenic landscapes and beautiful rice fields while meeting the local population.

    Visit Wat That, a temple located near the center of Vang Vieng.

    Then, enjoy a pirogue ride on the Nam Song River, surrounded by stunning karst rock formations reminiscent of Vietnam's Ha Long Bay. The banks of the Nam Song River reflect the true authenticity of Laos.

    Enjoy a romantic sunset over the Nam Song River and transfer back to your hotel.

  • Vang Vieng – Nam Ngum Lake – Dong Markkhai Market – VIENTIANE

    Depart for Vientiane, passing by Nam Ngum, the large artificial water reservoir created by the dam on the Nam Ngum River.

    Enjoy scenic views along the route as we travel through spectacular countryside toward the mountainous region.

    On the way, visit the lively and colorful Dong Markkhai market, 

     

    Upon arrival in Vientiane, visit the impressive Patuxay Monument, known as the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane, before continuing to the famous That Luang Stupa.

  • Enjoy your free time before transferring by private car with a driver to the airport of Vientiane for your flight to Hanoi.

    You will be welcomed upon your arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

    • Arrive at Halong International Cruise Port, welcome aboard, and safety briefing.
    • Check in to your private cabin.
    • Enjoy lunch onboard while taking in the stunning views of Bai Tu Long Bay.
    • Visit Thien Canh Son Cave,
    • Join a kayaking excursion to discover the limestone islands in the bay.
    • Back to junk for refreshing and enjoying your relaxing time on the sundeck.
    • Join a Vietnamese cooking class.

    Dinner: Savor fresh seafood with an exquisite menu of carefully crafted dishes, beautifully presented, and served by qualified staff.

    After dinner, free evening or experience squid fishing before retiring.

    Overnight on board

  • Enjoy the morning view of the beautiful landscape with a cup of coffee or tea. Have breakfast in the fresh air.

    • Visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village by kayak or local rowboat. Discover the cultural life of fishermen and learn how to drive a boat under the instruction of local people, or have a fisherman rowing boat for you.
    • Back to the boat.
    • Check out of the cabin and start cruising towards the harbor while a set lunch is served.
    • The entire crew will greet you and thank you as you arrive at the port at 11h30.
    • Transfer back to Hanoi.
