• Take a short forest walk to reach Kbal Spean, also known as "The River of a Thousand Lingas", lies deep in the jungle northeast of Angkor and once supplied drinking water to the Angkor site. Kbal Spean also served as a filming location for Jean-Jacques Annaud’s movie Two Brothers.

Cross the fertile rice fields along the road leading to the town of Kampong Chhnang, discovering its beautiful colonial charm.

• Take a boat ride through the floating village of Kampong Luong,

• Visit the pottery villages around Kampong Chhnang,

• On the way to Phnom Penh, we visit Royal Oudong (early 17th century) and the hill with three stupas.

In the afternoon,

• Be educated about the nation’s past at the Museum of Genocidal Crime,

• Take in the sombre atmosphere of the camp Choeng Ek Killing Field, outside Phnom Penh, the final resting place of many Cambodian people, murdered by the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.

• If time allows, meander through the Central Market, famous for its Art Deco architecture.
