Itinerary

  • Your adventure in Phnom Penh has started:

    You will be welcomed at the airport then transferred to your arranged hotel for relaxation.

    After your flight, we'll help you settle in with city maps, essential information, and a currency exchange to start exploring Phnom Penh.

  • A 2 – hour drive to take to Kampong Cham.

    • Visit the “Hill of Men” and the “Hill of Women,” featuring the Phnom Srey and Phnom Pros sanctuaries. This site witnessed numerous executions during the Khmer Rouge era.
    • Explore Vat Nokor,
    • Discover Kampong Cham and its colonial architecture, offering a glimpse into the region's history.
    • Then, cross the Mekong River and head towards the rubber plantations of Chup.
    • A visit to the rubber factory will explain the stages of rubber production.
    • Enjoy scenic views of rice fields on the rich, red fertile land along the route.

  • On the way leading to Kampong Thom.

    • Visit Vat Kohear Nokor,
    • Explore an 11th – century temple in Phum Prasat,
    • The journey offers varied landscapes, including rice fields, rubber forests, and sugar palm trees. Along the way, you’ll encounter local vendors selling fried tarantulas.
    • Continue the journey toward Kampong Thom.
    • Discover the Sambor Prei Kuk temples of Chenla,
    • Explore the site built by King Ishanavarman

    Along the way, visit traditional Cambodian villages known for palm sugar production and rice cultivation.

    Stop at the Naga Bridge, an ancient Angkorian bridge still in use today.

    Arriving in Angkor Thom by tuk – tuk :

    • Visit the Royal Enclosure and its small temple, Phimeanakas.
    • Pass through the Terrace of the Elephants,
    • See the Terrace of the Leper King with its beautiful carvings of gods, nagas (semi – divine serpents), and dancers.
    • Discover the impressive Ta Prohm temple,
    • Visit the majestic Angkor Wat temple with exquisite bas – reliefs, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
    • Attend an outstanding Apsara dance show – dinner.

  • Siem Reap – Pre Rup – East Mebon – Ta Som – Preah Khan – Baksei Chamkrong

    Early morning departure from the hotel to greet the first rays of sunlight for a magical experience at one of Angkor’s most iconic landmarks, Angkor Wat Temple.

    • Explore Pre Rup,
    • Visit the Eastern Mebon, a temple situated on an island in the middle of the Baray,
    • Discover Ta Som, another Buddhist temple.
    • Continue with the Neak Pean,
    • Visit to Preah Khan,
    • Visit Baksei Chamkrong,

    Cross the Kulen mountain range, a sacred site in Cambodia.

    Take a short forest walk to reach Kbal Spean, also known as "The River of a Thousand Lingas", lies deep in the jungle northeast of Angkor and once supplied drinking water to the Angkor site.

    Visit Banteay Srei (Hindu, 10th century), also called "The Citadel of Women",

    Explore Banteay Samre, a flat Hindu temple from the 12th century dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva,

    • By bike, explore the local activities and follow the path of the Angkor temples,
    • Afterwards, join a local family to learn the art of Cambodian cuisine.

    • In the afternoon, visit the fishing village of Chong Kneas by the lake.
    • Appreciate panoramic views of Asia’s biggest lake. Gap at the vast Tonle Sap Lake as you sail across it.
    • Tonle Sap has been listed as a World Natural Heritage Site since 1997.
    • Try your hand at fishing using local techniques!
    • End the day with a beautiful sunset at Phnom Krom,

  • Depart by private car to Battambang, passing through Banteay Meanchey Province.

    • Explore Banteay Chhmar Temple, a vast Angkor – era temple complex in Banteay Meanchey province,
    • On the way, explore the jungle temple of Banteay Chhmar (the Citadel of the Cats), renowned for its depictions of the face of Jayavarman VII and the intricate sculptures of Lokesvara. These carvings are reminiscent of the wonders in the Hall of Dancers at Preah Khan Temple.

  • Depart for a visit to Phnom Sampeau.

    • Enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.
    • You can still see the caves that were used as torture chambers in the tragic Khmer Rouge era.

    • Visit the provincial museum and explore the town.
    • Enjoy the rural landscapes along the Sangker River.
    • Visit the Wat Slaket Pagoda, the residence of the Buddhist Patriarch.

    Cross the fertile rice fields along the road leading to the town of Kampong Chhnang, discovering its beautiful colonial charm.

    • On the way, make a brief stop in Pursat, famous for its marble sculptures.
    • Take a boat ride through the floating village of Kampong Luong,
    • Visit the pottery villages around Kampong Chhnang,
    • On the way to Phnom Penh, we visit Royal Oudong (early 17th century) and the hill with three stupas.

  • Explore Phnom Penh,

    • Enter a world of visual wonder, starting with the National Museum of Fine Arts’ sculpture collection.
    • Heading to the resplendent Royal Palace,
    • Survey the serene Silver Pagoda and its magnificent Emerald Buddha.
    • Explore Wat Phnom, the oldest of the city, and see the statue of Madam Penh.

    In the afternoon,

    • Be educated about the nation’s past at the Museum of Genocidal Crime, which was the S – 21 prison – the scene of the worst examples of brutality and torture under the infamous Pol Pot.
    • Take in the sombre atmosphere of the camp Choeng Ek Killing Field, outside Phnom Penh, the final resting place of many Cambodian people, murdered by the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.
