Itinerary

You will be welcomed at the airport then transferred to your arranged hotel in Luang Prabang for relaxation.

Uncover the ancient religious capital of Laos, and be surprised by its serenity and spirituality by tuk tuk:
- Experience unforgettable moments by attending the procession of barefoot monks,
- Explore the National Museum (formally the Royal Palace)
- Marvel at the Wat Xieng Thong,
- Visit the temple of Wat Visoun,
- Vat Aham,
- The temple of Wat Mai, the most richly decorated temple in Luang Prabang, and was the residence of the Buddhist patriarch before 1975.
- Visit the Ock Pop Tok textile gallery
- Board the Nava Mekong,
- Enjoy the stunning landscapes that change color as the sun sets over the Mekong, with the mountains as a backdrop.
- Dinner is accompanied by a performance of traditional ethnic dances and music. The cruise ends around 9pm.

Luang Prabang – Ban Long Lao – Kuang Si Waterfall
Transfer to Ban Long Lao, a small Hmong ethnic village, where a 3 – hour trek to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall awaits.
If the hike is not feasible, the journey can be done by car.
- Depart for the beautiful Kuang Si waterfall, approximately 30 km from Luang Prabang.
- The waterfalls are nestled in lush tropical vegetation with beautiful, clear pools of water for swimming.
- On the way, visit minority villages such as H’mong village of Ban Thinkeo and Khmu village of Ban Thapaene.
- Visit the weaving village of Ban Xang Khong,
- Return to Luang Prabang by private car

Luang Prabang – Nong Khiaw – Muang Ngoy
Depart from the charming city of Luang Prabang and head toward Nong Khiaw,
On the way, stop at the Lao Lu village of Ban Na Ngan, an exceptional village of weavers specialising in cotton fabrics.
Then, take a 2 hour boat trip along the Nam Ou River to the tranquil village of Muang Ngoy.
Take a 2 – 3 hour walk to explore the picturesque countryside surrounding Muang Ngoy.

Muang Ngoy – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang
Take a 1.5 – 2 hour walk to visit the villages of Ban Na and Ban Houay Boor,
Return to Nong Khiaw by boat for a 1 – hour cruise, then head back to Luang Prabang.
Transfer by private car to Pak Ou village, at the confluence of the Nam Ou River, where you will visit the caves with 1,000 Buddha statues, Tham Ting and Tham Phum.
Stop to visit an ethnic minority village where traditional Lao rice whiskey is made. You may have the opportunity to taste the local rice whiskey.
Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.

Luang Prabang – DAY TRAIN – VANG VIENG
Transfer directly to the station for a daytime train ride to Vang Vieng.
Upon arrival in Vang Vieng, explore the caves of Tham Jang and enjoy the panoramic views and surrounding nature of Vang Vieng.
Transfer to your hotel.

Vang Vieng – Nam Song River – Visit – NIGHT TRAIN – VIENTIANE
In the morning, visit the local market.
About 13 km from town lies a fascinating cluster of caves known as
- Tham Sang Triangle
- Tham Hoi
- Tham Nam,
You will then enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Nam Song River, whose peaceful banks reflect the authentic charm of Laos.
Continue with a visit to the surrounding area and nearby small villages.
Transfer to the station for a night train to Vientiane (1 hour by train).
Upon arrival in Vientiane, our driver will pick you up and transfer to your hotel.

Our day is spent visiting the capital city's main attractions such as temples and monuments:
- Vat Sisaket,
- Phraken Ho,
- Patouxay,
- The large golden stupa of That Luang,
- The temple Wat Si Muang,
- Relax in the Wat Sokpaluang, enjoying a wonderful steam bath and massage.
- Enjoy some free time to stroll and investigate some of Vientiane’s markets, including the covered market, known as the “Morning Market” with lots of local crafts, jewelry, gold and silver on display.

Vientiane – FLIGHT – PAKSE – Boloven
Transfer by private car with driver to the airport of Vientiane for your flight to Pakse.
You will be welcomed upon your arrival at the airport to start a day of exploration.
Take the road to Boloven Plateau (1250 m altitude),
Our first stop is Houey Ten, a Katu village specializing in knife – making.
Visit a tea plantation, then stop at Tad Fan Waterfall, a picturesque twin chute waterfall

Stop at a coffee plantation, then, continue to Tha Teng Market, a colorful ethnic minority food market.
Explore another interesting minority village, Ban Bong Neua, an Alak village, that boasts a sacrificial alter.
Arrive at the beautiful Tadlo Waterfall, and at another picturesque waterfall, Pha Suam, before arriving back in Pakse by late afternoon.
Transfer to Champasak.
Meal: Breakfast -
Visit Vat Phou temple, the temple of the mountain and a former Khmer ruins sacred place of the 9th century, heritage site by UNESCO in 2001.
Renovations have been undertaken to return it to its former glory. Explore the site and its museum.
Transfer to Khong Island, the largest of this group of islands.

Khong island - Khone Island: 35 km - 1h
Cross the Mekong River to the site of the "4000 islands" and its wonderful peaceful landscapes.
Transfer to Khong Island, the largest of this group of islands.
Discover the village of Ban Khong to see the Wat Keo Phouang Temple, and the magnificent Buddha, protected by seven heads of Naga’s.
Detour and stop by at the local market to discover the trade of palm sugar and other commodities.
Then, take a motor canoe through the region of the 4,000 islands to enjoy a look at river oriented life.
Stop at Khone Island to see the old colonial mansions of the French period, and while on the island we visit two waterfalls: the Li Phi falls,
The day concludes with the observation of rare, white "Irrawaddy" river dolphins.

Khong Island - Pakse: 145 km - 3 h
Travel towards Ban Kiet Ngong and hike to the summit of Phou Asa Mountain, accompanied by the sounds of tropical birds along the way.
Phou Asa Mountain is located above the village of Kiet Ngong and features an ancient and beautiful stone structure known as Vat Phou Asa,
Arrive in Pakse in the late afternoon
