Bangkok

Grand Palace

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, is a thriving and dynamic metropolis that combines traditional Thai culture with modern urban life. You can visit some places I mentioned here:

  • Grand Palace: The Grand Palace is a magnificent complex of buildings that has served as the official residence of the Kings of Siam and later Thailand.

  • Wat Pho: Wat Pho, also known as Wat Phra Chetuphon or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is one of Bangkok's most famous and revered temples. It's a must-visit attraction for anyone exploring the city's cultural and historical heritage. Wat Pho's serene atmosphere, stunning architecture, and historical importance make it a truly captivating destination in Bangkok.

  • Wat Phra Kaew: Wat Phra Kaew is known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is one of Thailand's most important and revered religious and cultural sites. It is part of the Grand Palace complex in Bangkok. With great architectural flaws, Wat Phra Kaew is also the spiritual core of Thai Buddhism and the monarchy, symbolizing the country's most sacred image.

  • Chatuchak Weekend Market: one of the largest markets in the world, offering a wide variety of goods, including clothing, handicrafts, and street food.

  • China Town with the colorful lights and vibrant colors, the beautiful Chinese temples and the huge choice of street food.

  • Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn): Climb the steep stairs of Wat Arun to get a fantastic view of the city and the Chao Phraya River.

Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya

It is crammed with Buddhist temples, ancient statues, and monasteries on the UNESCO World Heritage list. When visiting Ayutthaya, you can visit the following temples:

  • Visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the largest and most significant temple in Ayutthaya, known for its three iconic chedis (stupas) and impressive Buddha images.

  • Visit Wat Phra Ram, a serene temple with a beautiful lake nearby, providing picturesque views.

  • Wat Maheyong is located outside the historical park, towards the floating market. Unfortunately, there isn’t much left of it, which perhaps explains why it is not flocked by tourists. If you have taken the Pass and you have a little time to spare, you can always go and have a look.

  • Wat Chai Watthanaram’s construction began in the 17th century and lasted for almost 20 years. This Khmer-style temple located on the river banks features a large central prang, about 35 meters tall, surrounded by several smaller chedis.

Chiang Mai

Doi Inthanon National Park

In one week Thailand itinerary, you must visit to Chiang Mai.

  • Chiang Mai Old Town: visit most of the main temples, street markets and museums. There are also several bars and restaurants

The cost of flights in Thailand can vary widely depending on factors such as the route, airline, booking time, travel season, and class of service.

Accommodation tends to consume the majority of a Thailand travel budget, but it is still very affordable in comparison to other destinations around the world.

Hotels in Thailand are diverse with many types such as 2-star, 3-star, 4-star, 5-star, homestay... Depending on individual needs, you can choose for yourself the right type of room.

The cost of food

Thailand is truly a foodie’s paradise.
