Leaving the charming town of Luang Prabang, the journey heads towards Nong Khiaw, a relatively untouched region surrounded by karst landscapes, home to ethnic communities living in near self-sufficiency
Before reaching Nong Khiaw, a short detour leads to Banagnan, an exceptional Lao Lu village known for its skilled weavers who specialize in cotton fabrics
Arriving in Nong Khiaw by early afternoon, a private boat awaits at the dock for a two-hour cruise upstream along the Nam Ou River towards Muang Ngoi – a truly unique nature destination in Laos, well worth the visit
The scenery is breathtaking, offering a glimpse into the lives of small fishing villages along the riverbanks, where subsistence farming and fishing are the way of life
Take a delightful two to three-hour walk to explore the tranquil paradise of Muang Ngoi and its traditional villages

Return to Nong Khiaw by boat for a one-hour cruise, followed by the journey back to Luang Prabang

Uncover the ancient religious capital of Laos, and be surprised by its serenity and spirituality by tuk tuk:

In the late afternoon, board the Nava Mekong, a traditional boat designed for cruising along the Mekong River. Transfer to Ban Long Lao, a small Hmong ethnic village, where a 3-hour trek to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall awaits. If the hike is not feasible, the journey can be done by car. Discover stunning nature and meet ethnic people in their traditional house made of bamboo, wood and palm leaves:

Settle in a morning flight from Luang Prabang to Pakse. Arrive and be welcomed by our guide and be transferred to Boloven Plateau (1250 m altitude), a major agricultural regions of Laos. A fertile area primarily devoted to the cultivation of robusta coffee, introduced by French settlers, but also the culture of tea, pepper, cardamom and rubber plantations
The plateau is also home to various ethnic groups, and you'll visit some of their villages with traditional stilt houses made of wood, bamboo, and woven materials
