Itinerary

  • Your adventure in Phnom Penh has started:

    You will be welcomed at the airport then transferred to your arranged hotel for relaxation.

    After your flight, we'll help you settle in with city maps, essential information, and a currency exchange to start exploring Phnom Penh.

  • A 2 – hour drive to take to Kampong Cham.

    • Visit the “Hill of Men” and the “Hill of Women,” featuring the Phnom Srey and Phnom Pros sanctuaries.
    • Explore Vat Nokor,
    • On the way, stop at Skun, known for its large tarantulas. You can taste these giant, grilled spiders,
    • Discover Kampong Cham and its colonial architecture,
    • Then, cross the Mekong River and head towards the rubber plantations of Chup.
    • A visit to the rubber factory will explain the stages of rubber production.
    • Enjoy scenic views of rice fields on the rich, red fertile land along the route.

  • Discover Kratie, a small town near the Vietnamese border.

    • Visit the 19th – century Vihear Kork Pagoda and Wat Phnom Sambok,
    • In the afternoon, continue to Prek Kampi, a natural site along the Mekong River that serves as a sanctuary for the endangered Irrawaddy freshwater dolphins.
    • Take a small boat to cross the Mekong and explore the mangroves.

  • Excursion to the stunning Bou Sra Waterfall, the most impressive in Cambodia, set in a breathtaking natural environment.

    • Visit the village of Bou Sra, home to the Phnong ethnic group, a welcoming minority living in seclusion.

    • Option to arrange a 3–hour elephant ride for a unique experience in the area.

    • In the evening, return to Sen Monorom by road.

    • Depart in the morning for Banlung, the capital of Ratanakiri province, also known as "the red city" due to the omnipresent laterite.

    • Transfer to the hotel.

    • Enjoy a short walk around the lake.

    • Departure for Kompong Thom (5h), passing through varied landscapes including rice fields, rubber tree forests, and sugar palm groves.

    • Explore the site built by King Ishanavarman during the 7th and 8th centuries, showcasing pre-Angkorian architecture heavily influenced by Indian art.

  • Arriving in Angkor Thom by tuk – tuk :

    • Visit the Victory Gate,
    • Visit the Bayon,
    • Visit the three – tiered Baphuon

    • Pass through the Terrace of the Elephants, once a viewing platform for kings
    • See the Terrace of the Leper King with its beautiful carvings of gods, nagas (semi – divine serpents), and dancers.
    • Discover the impressive Ta Prohm temple,
    • Visit the majestic Angkor Wat temple with exquisite bas – reliefs, a UNESCO World Heritage site
    • Attend an outstanding Apsara dance show – dinner.

  • Cross the Kulen mountain range, a sacred site in Cambodia.

    Take a short forest walk to reach Kbal Spean, also known as "The River of a Thousand Lingas", lies deep in the jungle northeast of Angkor and once supplied drinking water to the Angkor site.

    Explore Banteay Samre, a flat Hindu temple from the 12th century dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva,

  • Battambang – Kampong Chhnang – Oudong – PHNOM PENH

    Cross the fertile rice fields along the road leading to the town of Kampong Chhnang, discovering its beautiful colonial charm.

    • On the way, make a brief stop in Pursat, famous for its marble sculptures.
    • Take a boat ride through the floating village of Kampong Luong, mostly inhabited by Vietnamese, with the barges or houses built on stilts to avoid flooding.
    • Visit the pottery villages around Kampong Chhnang, the peppers drying in the sun.
    • On the way to Phnom Penh, we visit Royal Oudong (early 17th century) and the hill with three stupas.

  • A city tour of the capital,

    • Enter a world of visual wonder, starting with the National Museum of Fine Arts’ sculpture collection.
    • Heading to the resplendent Royal Palace,

    • Explore Wat Phnom, the oldest of the city, and see the statue of Madam Penh.

    In the afternoon,

    • Take in the sombre atmosphere of the camp Choeng Ek Killing Field, outside Phnom Penh, the final resting place of many Cambodian people, murdered by the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.
    • Be educated about the nation’s past at the Museum of Genocidal Crime,
    • In the middle of the afternoon, depart for Kampot.
