I advise you to take advantage of the chance to attend a cooking class in Krabi if you want to learn how to prepare the regional specialties once you go home. You will leave with a recipe booklet in addition to learning how to prepare four dishes and tasting them.
The fact that each individual may select the meals they wish to make, such as a green curry, Pad Thai, spicy shrimp soup, coconut milk chicken, sticky mango rice, etc., is also something I find to be quite wonderful.
The best time to visit Krabi is from November to April, during the dry season. At this time, the weather is sunny, the sea is calm, and it’s perfect for island hopping, snorkeling, and outdoor activities.
From May to October, Krabi enters the rainy season. While there are fewer tourists and lower prices, heavy showers and rough seas may limit some activities. However, it can still be a good option if you prefer a quieter, more budget-friendly trip

By plane
There are many ways to get from Bangkok to Krabi, but traveling by plane is the fastest and most time-saving way. Airlines flying directly from Bangkok to Krabi include Thai Smile, Thai Airways, Bangkok Air, AirAsia, Vietjet, and Hahn Air. The distance between the two places is about 655 km, so the flight will take about 1 hour 20 minutes. However, the time depends on each airline and they also have different prices.
By bus
About 13 hours are needed to travel the distance about 780 kilometers by bus from Bangkok to Krabi. Bus routes between Bangkok and Krabi are run by Thai Sriram Travel and The Transport Company, with the route beginning at Bangkok Mochit Bus Depot. It is advisable to confirm well in advance, though, as plans for vacations and holidays sometimes differ.
By taxi/car
Taxis are widely available in Bangkok, and you may take one to Krabi. You should prepare ahead of time because the journey might take up to 11 hours. Choosing whether you wish to be picked up from a hotel or an airport. Visitors can usually take a break whenever they like. A cab from Bangkok to Krabi costs between $362 and $500, depending on the number of passengers in the car and the standard of luxury.
By ferry/ speedboat
Traveling between Phuket and Krabi by ferry is quite convenient because the distance between the two places when transfering by ferry is only about 50 km. Based on average speed it usually takes about 2 hours to get from Phuket to Krabi. However, depending on weather conditions and type of ferry the time could be faster or slower. This is definitely a great opportunity for visitors to move around while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
By taxi
Traveling from Phuket to Krabi by taxi is probably the most comfortable option if you are seasick and cannot take the ferry. The price is similar to the ferry price, but when choosing a taxi, you will be more flexible about the pick up point and time. If it is a family trip with both young children and the elderly, I recommend choosing a taxi to move more comfortably.
By bus
Travel by bus is the cheapest means of transport, but traveling will take time and is uncomfortable compared to trains and taxis. There are also buses a day from 7:30 a.m to 9:30 p.m so you won’t have to worry about waiting too long. Taking the bus is also a way to experience and talk to the locals.
