Itinerary

  • You will be welcomed at the airport then transferred to your arranged hotel in Luang Prabang for relaxation.

  • Uncover the ancient religious capital of Laos, and be surprised by its serenity and spirituality by tuk tuk:

    • Experience unforgettable moments by attending the procession of barefoot monks,
    • Explore the National Museum (formally the Royal Palace)
    • Marvel at the Wat Xieng Thong,
    • Visit the temple of Wat Visoun,
    • Vat Aham,
    • The temple of Wat Mai,

    Visit the Ock Pop Tok textile gallery

    Board the Nava Mekong, a traditional boat designed for cruising along the Mekong River.

    Enjoy the stunning landscapes 

    Dinner is accompanied by a performance of traditional ethnic dances and music.

  • From your hotel, head to the pier and board a traditional wooden boat for the 1hr 30min cruise along the Mekong River to visit two sacred caves at Pak Ou: Tham Ting and Tham Phoum caves

    • During the boat ride you may observe some elephants bathing in the water close to the banks, or some locals trying their luck and panning for gold.
    • Return by boat to the center.
    • Then, cross the Mekong River by boat to the picturesque village of Ban Chan, a pottery village.
    • Visit Vat Xieng Mene, and then follow village paths and rocky trails along the Mekong towards Vat Chom Phet.
    • Climb the stairs to this unique temple, once used as a retreat by the king to escape court pressures.

  • Depart for the beautiful Kuang Si waterfall, approximately 30km from Luang Prabang.

    • Swim in a natural pool nested in the lush tropical vegetation at Khuang Sy waterfall.
    • Visit minority villages such as H’mong village of Ban Thinkeo and Khmu village of Ban Thapaene.
    • Visit the weaving village of Ban Xang Khong,
    • Visit the Ock Pop Tok textile gallery 
    • Enjoy some free time to stroll through the H’Mong night market,

  • Depart to Ban Xiang Ngeun, the last village accessible by road. It is situated on the Nam Khan River,

    Boarding canoes, go upstream on the Nam Khan River to the large village of Khamou.

    See men fishing, gossiping women doing washing, children playing and buffaloes cooling off on the river’s edge.

    Head down the Nam Khan River to the tomb of Henri Mouhot.

  • We begin with a 6-hour drive to the province of Xieng Khuang.

    Along the way, stop to visit some ethnic villages, the Khmu and Hmong in traditional costumes.

    Visit the “Plain of Jars” (site 1) to discover massive sandstone jars weighing as much as 6 tonnes, scattered over a dozen separate sights.

    Visit villages of ethnic H’mong and Thai Phuan Dam people.

  • In the morning, visit the local market of Phonsavan.

    Continue to visit sites 2 and 3 of the Plain of Jars, where some of the most picturesque views can be admired.

    Transfer to Vang Vieng

  • Vang Vieng – Nam Ngum Lake – CRUISE – VIENTIANE – Lao Farmers Society

    Depart for Vientiane, passing by Nam Ngum, the large artificial water reservoir created by the dam on the Nam Ngum River.

    Enjoy scenic views along the route as we travel through spectacular countryside toward the mountainous region.

    Visit the Lao Farmers Society,

    Then onto Lao fair trade networks that provide jobs and income for the local people. Here we receive product presentations, explanations and product tasting.

  • Our day is spent visiting the capital city's main attractions such as temples and monuments:

    • Vat Sisaket,
    • Phraken Ho,
    • Patouxay,
    • The large golden stupa of That Luang,
    • The temple Wat Si Muang,
    • Relax in the Wat Sokpaluang, enjoying a wonderful steam bath and massage.
    • Enjoy some free time to stroll and investigate some of Vientiane’s markets, known as the “Morning Market”

  • Transfer by private car with driver to the airport of Vientiane for your flight to Pakse.

    You will be welcomed upon your arrival at the airport to start a day of exploration.

    Take the road to Boloven Plateau (1250 m altitude),

    Discover magnificent waterfalls named Tad Fan and Tad Yuang.

    Visit the vibrant Dao Heuang Market in Pakse

  • Visit Vat Phou temple

    Explore the site and its museum.

    Continue to the quay and take a local boat (about 10 minutes) to reach the island of Done Daeng.

    Enjoy some free time for personal activities (relax by the pool, take a bike ride to visit nearby villages, etc.).

  • Discover the village of Ban Khong to see the Wat Keo Phouang Temple

    Detour and stop by at the local market to discover the trade of palm sugar and other commodities.

    Then, take a motor canoe through the region of the 4,000 islands 

    Stop at Khone Island to see the old colonial mansions of the French period, and while on the island we visit two waterfalls: the Li Phi falls and the spectacular Phapheng Waterfall,

    The day concludes with the observation of rare, white "Irrawaddy" river dolphins.

    Drive back on the island of Khong to your hotel.

  • Transfer by private car with driver to the airport of Pakse for your flight to Siem Reap.

    • Visit the Victory Gate,

    • Pass through the Terrace of the Elephants, once a viewing platform for kings
    • See the Terrace of the Leper King 
    • Discover the impressive Ta Prohm temple
    • Visit the majestic Angkor Wat temple with exquisite bas – reliefs, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
    • Attend an outstanding Apsara dance show – dinner.

  • Cross the Kulen mountain range, a sacred site in Cambodia.

    Take a short forest walk to reach Kbal Spean, also known as "The River of a Thousand Lingas"
